What are the main differences between headshots with a photo booth versus the pop-up studio?
- Professional Photography – One of the main differences is that with the pop-up studio, there is a professional photographer guiding and posing guests to achieve the best possible headshots.
- Angles – With our pop-up studio, your photographer can capture different angles and zoom in/out to achieve a variety of photos. Versus the headshot photo booth which will provide consistent framing throughout all sessions.
- Self-service – If you prefer that your guests have more control over their headshots, our photo booth option may work best for you since it’ll enable them to view themselves in real time to either approve or re-do their session.
- Branding – If you opt for the headshot photo booth, there are options to brand the booth to match your event.
Is there a quality difference between both options?
With both options, photos are taken with a DSLR camera and studio strobe therefore both will produce high quality photos. However, the pop-up studio has more flexibility and control with lighting which the photographer can adjust accordingly, that ultimately results in the highest studio quality images.
How do I decide which option is best for my event?
The best option for you depends on a few things: your ultimate goal, desired experience & your guests. If your goal is to provide a fun or more casual experience and/or your guests are younger and more tech savvy then the headshot photo booth may be right for you. However, if your main priority is to provide quality headshots, more professional versus casual or think your guests will benefit from a guided session then having a professional photographer with studio setup is the best choice.
Can I choose either backdrop regardless of the option I choose?
Yes! You may choose between white or black backdrop with both headshot options. We may also suggest a couple of other backdrop options that would work or you can opt for a custom step and repeat or branded backdrop.
Can I choose between color or black & white photos?
Both options are available on screen via the headshot photo booth. With our Pop-up studio, headshots will be taken in color and then guests can edit their photos to b&w on their end.
